The Momentum Academy I.C.U Is an Audition/interview class. You must be accepted into the program by before you may join. Its a “no nonsense” high intensity training program dedicated to the preparations of its students for their next competition/Tournament. So that we may give our competitors months of training time, not weeks. “No Nonsense” meaning its students will have to take hard constructive criticism daily without any emotional outbreaks and back talking. We will work long and hard every class. The course will be “hard work”. If you have strong physical limitations or injuries, this program is not for you. If you do not take direction or criticism well, this program is not for you. This is most disciplined program that Momentum Academy has yet. The Program will entail training for all aspects and categories of Open Martial Arts tournaments including traditional forms, creative forms, musical forms, breaking, sparring and team forms. You will not be required to train in events you are not interested in competing in.
This DOES NOT mean that if you don’t take the program you can’t compete. Every Momentum Academy student is always welcome to join our team in competition. However members of this new program will enjoy an array of benefits. Such as Demo team/competition team uniforms, triple the competition training/prep time, discounted tournament registration fees and the extreme opportunity to really shine amongst your peers. All students in the I.C.U must be an active member in either American Freestyle Karate or ICHF Combat Hapkido. Upon your acceptance into the program it is held On Monday and Wednesday Nights from 7:35pm to 9pm. Immediately fallowing AFK class. The class fee will be an additional $10 per month with your multi-class discount. Plus a financial commitment to purchase your demo/competition team uniform, patches, etc. Prices to be determined.
